EcoCover, a top-five finisher in AC-NET’s 2010 competition, and the City of Anaheim’s TreePower program have teamed up to pilot the use of EcoCover’s organic mulch on free shade trees distributed through the TreePower program. To learn more about the pilot, go here.

Anaheim Public Utilities and the City of Anaheim recently installed Global Eco Soil Solution’s EarthMister irrigation system in a pilot project at Anaheim Substation. Another EarthMister pilot will be conducted at Founder’s Park in Anaheim as part of a renovation project in late Spring 2011. To learn more about thess pilot projects, go here.
Global Eco's sub-surface micro-jet system is designed to reduce water use by 50% to 75%, as well as eliminate waste from sprinkler run-off, water/moisture loss from soil evaporation, and minimize human contact with recycled water during irrigation.
Global Eco Soil Solutions was a 2009 Competition Finalist, finishing in the top five.
Five Hadronex SmartCover devices that provide real-time sewer monitoring to prevent spills, illegal dumping, and vandalism were installed throughout Anaheim in February 2010. To date, the units have operated as expected.
