The Ultra-Efficient Watermiserâ„¢ Waterbroom.
In 2001, funded by a grant through Metropolitan Water District’s (MWD) Innovative Conservation Program, Anaheim Public Utilities conducted a study at 15 Anaheim commercial and institutional sites to determine the effectiveness of the Watermiser™ Waterbroom as a water conservation tool. Site participants included the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim parks, fast-food restaurants, and hotels. Test results revealed an average water savings of 63 percent when the Waterbroom was used instead of a hose and nozzle. In addition, participants reported reduced labor costs and faster drying time.
A superior alternative to the garden hose
The Waterbroom, which is designed to save water and labor time, is targeted towards commercial and industrial businesses that currently use a standard type hose to clean areas of their facilities for public health reasons. It uses as little as 2.8 to 3.4 gallons per minute compared to a standard hose, which uses 8 to 18 gallons per minute. Cleaning with the Waterbroom, as opposed to a regular garden hose, can be achieved in about 75 percent less time.
Adds on easily to current equipment
The Waterbroom is made of aircraft aluminum and solid brass fittings and attaches to a regular garden hose, using a combination of air and water pressure to clean surfaces such as kitchen floors, restaurant patios, and pool decks.
Today, numerous commercial businesses, government agencies, and school districts, such as the Anaheim Marriott Hotel, Hilton Anaheim, and the Anaheim Convention Center, rely on the Waterbroom to reduce cleaning time and labor and water costs.
